Christian Education Ministries and Groups Within our Church

Wednesday Morning Women’s Bible Study
This group meets every Wednesday morning at the church for a study and refreshments. The group is presently studying portions of the book of Isaiah ...“Trusting God in Troubled Times”. For more information contact Janet Joudrey at 543-5273

Koinonia Bible Study
This group meets every second Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the church.   Currently, they are working through a book called "The Glimpse of Glory" by Max Lucado.  This is a co-ed Bible Study, so couples are welcome.  For more information on this group contact Brenda Lantz, 527-2210.

The Encouragers Prayer and Bible Study Group
We are one of the first small groups formed as a result of the first Alpha Course held in our church. One of the goals we strive for is encouraging others who are going through difficult times by praying for them and sending out cards. We are presently doing the study “Encouraging One Another” with four more lessons to complete. Our next book will be from the Aglow Series “Building Better Relationships”, which uses scripture to build successful relationships with your loved ones, friends and neighbours and learn how to handle confrontations and how and when to seek forgiveness. We are a group that offers support to one another and enjoy our time together, using the Holy Spirit as our Guide, studying God’s word and trying to apply it to our personal lives. No one is put on the spot to pray if they are not comfortable doing so, because it is our aim to have everyone feel at ease and most importantly “loved”.

Youth Group
Meets every Friday evening from 7-9 p.m.at the church. First session will be on September 24th for a fun night. This group is open to all students in grades 7-12. For more information contact either Janice Rand 527-1836 or Cecile Mansfield 530-2283.

Friendship Group
This group usually meets the second Saturday evening of the month in members homes or at the church. This is a time of fellowship for all ages. This is a fun evening out with activities such as pot luck suppers, dinners out, barbecues, games, singing, videos, etc. For more information contact Sharon Fraser at 530-5585.

Evelyn Kenney Woman’s Missionary Society
The regular meeting time of this group is the second Thursday of each month in the afternoon. Various mission topics are looked at either through video, written material or guest speakers. All members faithfully participate in prayers, devotionals, offerings and acting as hostesses. For more information contact Vivian Uhlman at 543-5565.

Marion Noble Woman’s Missionary Society
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month, excluding July and August. Each meeting includes a devotional, mission program, prayer, business and social time. As a group, we support the Junior/Senior Global Adventures (AKA mission band). For more information contact Heather Fifield at 685-2081 or Marlene Layton at 543-5029.

Senior Choir
The choir meets every Tuesday evening at the church at 7:00 p.m. and sing during the church service on Sunday mornings. For more information contact Debbie Zwicker at 644-3754.

Praise and Worship Team
“Shout for joy to the Lord”, all the earth, worship the Lord with Gladness; come before him with joyful songs.” Psalm 100 encourages us to praise the Lord and that’s what we like to do every Sunday morning.
