Jeff and Deann Carter - Czech Republic
Appointed in 2002
to a youth-focused assignment in partnership with the European Baptist
Federation, the International Baptist Theological Seminary in Prague and
Acadia Divinity College, the Carters are based in the Czech Republic,
researching youth ministry training needs of the 50-plus member union of
the European Baptist Federation.
Jeff received his education at Nova Scotia Agricultural College (with a
view to agricultural missions); theological training at Acadia Divinity
College (M.Div. and M.R.E.); and later completed a Doctor of Ministry
degree at McMaster Divinity College. Jeff taught for four months in
Bolivia with Canadian Baptist Volunteers and began to learn Spanish. He
has served as Christian Education Director at First Baptist Church and
has served on staff with IVCF Canada, and as IVCF Coordinator in the
Atlantic Provinces.
Deann is a graduate of Acadia (M.Div. and M.Th.). She also has a Diploma
in Prison Ministry from Acadia. Deann pastored a five-point charge in
Lower Granville, NS. Both Jeff and Deann were ordained through the
Atlantic Baptist Convention. Jeff and Deann feel that God has called
them to work together in a singular calling in missions.
Jeff enjoys the arts, music and painting. Deann enjoys reading and
cross-stitch.
They have one son, Zachary who loves swimming, piano and playing ball.

Terry & Patricia Janke - Bolivia
Terry and Pat
Janke were appointed in May 2002 for missionary service to Cochabamba,
Bolivia, for ministry in theological education at the Baptist
Theological Seminary.
Terry was born into a Christian family in Hanover, ON. He is a graduate
of Providence Bible College (formerly Winnipeg Bible College, B.A. in
Biblical Studies) and Acadia Divinity College (M.Div. and Diploma in
Prison Ministry).
Patricia was born in Winnipeg, MB. She is a graduate of Laurentian
University (B.A. in Native Studies) and Acadia University (B.Ed.).
Terry and Pat met at Providence Bible College and felt a deep sense of
call to marriage and ministry together. Terry served as a summer student
minister at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Eagle River, and eventually
responded to their call to be their first full time pastor, where they
served from 1982-1987. After Terry completed his M. Div. at Acadia, the
Jankes moved to Thunder Bay, ON, to pastor First Baptist Church. Pat
worked as an elementary school teacher and for 10 years taught music to
young children.
Terry likes sports, carpentry and playing guitar. Patricia loves all
things musical, enjoys cross country skiing, swimming and quilting.
The Jankes have three children - Emily, Joel, and Jonathan.

Rev. Aaron and Erica Kenny -
Kenya
Rev. Aaron and Erica Kenny are Global Field Staff with CBM working in
Kenya. They will join CBM’s team working in Muslim outreach among the
displaced Somali in Eastleigh, Dadaab and Garissa.
Aaron will be involved with CBM’s partners by
preaching in the Africa Brotherhood Church and the African Christian
Church & Schools. They’ll be working in the area of Joint Pioneer
Outreach as they become involved in community building through
activities such as ESL, computer instruction and sports programs at the
Eastleigh Learning Centre.
Aaron has a degree in Philosophy and English from
the University of Prince Edward Island and a Master of Divinity from
Acadia Divinity College, NS. Erica has a degree in English and Women’s
Studies from the University of Prince Edward Island. The Kennys have
ministered in churches in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick for the past 7
years – most recently at Midland Baptist Church in Norton, NB.
